Dental separation agent is to form a separation film between two same or different materials, between the material and the mold, so that it will not stick and be easy to separate. There are four main categories:

(1) Gypsum separating agent, using potassium soap solution, 2%-3% sodium alginate aqueous solution and 30% water glass aqueous solution;

(2) Resin separation agent, using 2%-3% sodium alginate aqueous solution and polyvinyl alcohol solution;

(3) Wax separating agent, using water, glycerol and ethylene glycol;

(4) Other separating agents, such as silicone oil, Vaseline, etc.
